Bewildering Stories welcomes...
J. R. Salling
A lot of our readers would like to hang out in J. R.’s shop: he’s an antiquarian bookseller specializing in the history of science and medicine. He’s published stories widely, and his specialty sometimes turns up in them.
“Violet” depicts a housewife who makes her escape from a life of neglect by taking a potion, like Alice after she went down the rabbit hole. Violet has even prepared a little house for herself. Only, one senses, sadly, that she never will reach that little house.
J. R. Salling’s bio sketch can be found here.
