Mumbling
Well, once again I am reduced to incoherency. Could it be that jet lag has caught up with me again? Probably. I'm back in Kansas City, and as usual, I had dinner with the irrepressible Steven Francis Murphy (Desdae's Vapors, Tranquillity Lost, Sharpshooter) and we discussed how one attains enough notoriety in the SF community to have a novel or story one has written be looked at with more than just a "Sorry, didn't grab me" in a rejection notice.SF Conventions. Get to know the movers and shakers. Or something. Don't know if it helps, but as the saying goes, "Couldn't Hoit!"
Unless, of course, your personality (present company excepted) is SO abrasive it would be best in no one in the "real world" ever met you. And perhaps there is some truth to that, for some people. Anyway, I'm mumbling, and tired, and I have a "Basic Electricity for Non-Electricians" class to teach in the morning...
