Bewildering Stories Editorial

Forward Into The Past
Aha! Here it is, 11:06 on a Sunday night, and I want to write an editorial, or a rant, or something. So, guess what? Here it is. Well, the Bewildering Press website is live, more or less, and yes, I know it is inconsistant and needs work. I cobbled it together with help from a website creation package that does "okay", but while not as bad as the execrable FrontPage, still creates some really ugly html. So, as I have time, I will make it better. Really. And we finally have a glimmer of direction in regards to a print magazine. It seems that Sam Ivey of Gilboy's Quest (would that be "fame", or "infamy"? Never mind) once upon a time helped create a realio-trulio print magazine. Back in 1982. Which still exists to this day: The Databased Advisor. He was Art Director, Sales Director, and one of the Editorial Staff.
He has also had many years of selling print advertising, albeit locally, not nationally. Although the DBA was national in scope, certainly. So he asked me, quite casually, if we'd every thought of doing a print version... Nah, of course not. Never crossed my mind. Uh, yeah.
Elsewhere... I've shipped the proof copy of Grim Legion off to Don, but I believe I'll make some necessary, though minor, changes on the back cover and in the text layout. A learning experience, indeed. I'd like to have saleable copies by the end of the week. Please?
This whole thing is a weird spiral, up, out, over, and around. Oh well, "that a man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's a heaven for?"
