“The Hole,” in this issue, is Sara’s first published story, although she’s been writing, she says, all her life and in many different genres. Her motto is to keep trying.

Well, Sara, you’ve come to the right place: Bewildering Stories was founded as a place to help and encourage new writers of all ages and experience. We’ve welcomed many well-established pros aboard, over the years, but we always have a place for youth!

One question we have to ask the readers about “The Hole,” as a unofficial Challenge: would it be better without the moral? Or does the reader need it?
