Bewildering Stories welcomes...
E. S. Strout
It seems a little odd to be welcoming E. S. Strout at this late date: he’s already made notable contributions to our Contests 1 and 2. We’re glad to see him here in a regular issue.
Since E. S. is a doctor of pathology at the U.C.-Irvine Medical Center, you’d think the characters in his story “Private Eye,” in this issue, would have a more wholesome diet. Maybe E. S. is telling us something. Maybe it has to do with the punch line to an old joke: “Surgeons know nothing and do everything. Psychiatrists know everything and do nothing. Pathologists know everything and do everything — but too late.” Pizza and diet soda, anyone?
E. S. Strout’s bio sketch can be found here.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, E. S. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
