Sending Corrections

Don,

I actually discovered, while still getting used to my “new” computer, that it has an edit document feature. [...] Would that be a better idea if I used this facility when correcting the minor things with my stories after preview goes out? Or do you prefer another method?

I just want to help you as much as I can. I can’t even imagine the work that goes into producing a weekly ezine of such fine quality as BwS. So anything I can do to ease to work load, just let me know.

Thanks, mate.

Clyde Andrews — Speculative Author

Hi, Clyde...

Thank you very much for your kind words and concern! Many contributors report corrections or updates after receiving the preview notice. That’s why I send it! Proofreading is a never-ending job, and many hands make it less heavy work.

Easiest is best. First, copy the original sentence or line and then, under it, put the corrected version. If there’s more than one installment, be sure to tell me which installment it’s in.

That’s all there is to it. I search for a keyword in the context and then copy-paste the correction. My only worry is putting the right thing in the wrong place!

P.S. If you’re previewing more than one installment, please check all the links in the title as well as the “Proceed to...” links. It’s easy to mistype or forget a link, but links are also easy to fix.

You don’t have to check the menu or footers; they’re standard, and not all the links in them work in preview mode.

Cheers,

Don
