Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Oscar Deadwood
What’s Oscar’s real name? I don’t remember, but surely the Invincible Spud, coiner of the most extraordinary pen names, would approve of the wry humor in Oscar’s.
The real person behind the name has held many occupations, much like his fellow Michigander, Mike Leier. Oscar has had notable success with his short fiction, which has been included in anthologies and in publications like Dark Moon Rising and Darkervision.
“Asylum Flight,” in this issue, would seem to qualify as a “dark” story. Trouble is, it extrapolates from the present only a little and may qualify — like Karlos Allen’s “Countdown” in issue 183 — as science fiction that makes us cross our fingers and pray that it’s not tomorrow’s news.
We’re glad you’ve found Bewildering Stories, Oscar. Welcome! We hope to hear from you again soon and often.
