Bewildering Stories welcomes...
P. S. Gifford
P.S. joins a couple of Bewildering Stories’ contingents at the same time: British and Californian. Ahem, make that northern California!
Another new contributor mentioned wanting to become prolific. He can take an example from P.S., who says he returned to writing — an early love — in 2004 and has, in the past year or so, written over a hundred stories and published many of them. Maybe that explains the fire extinguisher P.S. keeps next to his computer: he uses it to douse his regularly overheating keyboard.
How P.S. does that with a family, two pet dogs and a rabbit, too, is beyond my imagination. Surely there is a truly Bewildering story in that. Kidding aside, P.S.: are you sure about that date of 2004 ?
“Consider This...” is P.S.’s first contribution. I think it subtly invites the readers to supply their own subtexts. A man is awakened in the middle of the night by a phone call from a young lady. He zooms out to meet her — on the transparent pretext of getting a scoop for his otherwise desultory newspaper — and soon finds himself in a bondage ritual with a group of also beauteous young ladies. It doesn’t matter what they do to him; if that reporter isn’t a ghost when he comes home, you can bet your booties he’ll wish he were.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, P.S. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
