Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Carmen Ruggero
Carmen came to California from Argentina in 1959 but has also lived in Indiana since then. A photographer, she has specialized in black and white portraiture and has worked in newspaper reporting. In 2001, Carmen began writing fiction and poetry. She has published extensively and her works have won awards.
The invitation in our page footers to write to the authors of stories you like has really paid off with Carmen. If she reads something she enjoys, she sends us a note of appreciation, which we are very happy to forward to the author. Carmen has been setting a very good example, and anyone who receives a message from her should know that her compliments are backed up with experience.
If we may read anything into Carmen’s first story for us, “The Back Window,” it’s that it’s a kind of manifesto in dialogue: what writing means to her.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Carmen. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
