Where is Jones Beach? Somewhere there’s snow and pizza by the slice, so it’s definitely northeastern. But Bill is a long-time resident of southern California, which may be a cool place for a writer with a flair for drama and, especially, the meaning of the details of everyday and less ordinary life.
