I just wanted to mention how great it was to return to Bewildering Stories. Your contest helped me to focus on writing again, which I sorely needed to do. I also wanted to thank you for including “Hail The Bob” in your second anniversary collection. I’m honored.

Welcome back, Lewayne! Now that you mention “Hail the Bob,” I recall it fondly and remember it as one of those rare stories that keep the reader grinning all the way through. On reflection, I probably didn’t remember it as a “twisted fairy tale” — although it surely is one — because I associated Bob with James Thurber’s Walter Mitty.
