Once again, Catherine visits the Skolian Empire (or what's left of it) and takes us along for the visit. As I read the book, I wondered if it would truly stand alone, but it doesn't matter. It is tightly plotted, brings back many characters we want to see again, and is a fun roller-coaster ride.

I enjoyed it, and wish I could go into more depth, but I'm pressed for time.
