Eric S. Brown writes...
from the storm front
Veteran readers know Eric as a stalwart contributor to Bewildering Stories. We’re not sure exactly where he is at the moment, but the weather has been very difficult in his area recently, and apparently there’s more on the way...
I was in the path of Frances. Not 20 miles from my home, Frances destroyed homes, washed away cars, and pretty much leveled my neighboring town of Canton. While I suffered little damage from Frances myself other than a brief loss of power and the interstate below my home being flooded, Ivan is supposed to reach where I live on Wednesday night or Thursday of this week if it stays on the path they are saying right now. Needless to say I am concerned. There are still people in my area without phones and power from Frances.
So this is just a heads-up to all those I consider friends or am working for/with right now on projects. Hopefully, everything will be fine BUT should I suddenly disappear as of Thursday and not answer e-mails I wanted you to know why and rest assured that if Ivan does hit, I will try to catch up to everything in the writing world as soon as my phone/power returns. Thankful for your prayers.

You got ’em, Eric. Hang in there, and best of luck.
