Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Garret Stirland
Garret lives in the Rocky Mountains of Utah, where he enjoys reading and writing fantasy and science fiction. Sometimes, Garret also writes about growing up in a “high-control religious group.”
“The Crucible of Logic” describes life in a “high-control” society, where dissent is repressed by a machine called the “Crucible.” Its effects are frighteningly effective. And they recall a political joke particularly current in the Soviet Union: “We know pretty much what the future will look like, but the past is very uncertain.”
