Mark has a degree in Screenwriting from Long Beach and lives in the Los Angeles area. He has published some short fiction.

“Welcome to Dearth” is a pleasant short story about Purgatory, which is an official name given to the way station in the afterlife between earth and Heaven. Readers will surely be relieved to note that the purgatee’s sin is one of inadvertent omission. Maybe once that’s cleared up, Heaven won’t look so scary after all.
