Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Ralph S. Souders
Ralph is from the Chicago area and a graduate of the University of Central Florida. He lives with his family in Tennessee. A hobby is metal detecting. He has published suspense and western stories and written three novels and a screenplay.
“The Lonely Young Lady” might be a ballad sung in saloons of the Wild West. The narrator talks lightly of taking advantage of a jilted girl upon whom he showers affection, one might say, and then, under cover of night, casually flees as fast as her former lover did. In a house of ill repute, the pimp or madam might scold, “Ya sing that song in this establishment, ye’ll pay up front and not scamper away!”
