Sandra Boshoff writes...
about an orphaned eagle owl
Sandra Boshoff, of Ratho Farms, located in South Africa on the Limpopo River border with Botswana, has written us a very kind letter allowing us to include her picture of an orphaned eagle owl in Katherine Allen’s “The Owl in the Supermarket,” in issue 99.
Not only is Ms. Boshoff the photographer, she raised the owl for more than ten months, feeding it properly and teaching it to catch the prey it would need in order to live in the wild. And then she set it free.
With this contribution, our whimsically titled literary webzine, Bewildering Stories, can begin its third year of publication with the proud claim that our contributors represent all the inhabited continents in the world. Welcome, Africa! We couldn’t imagine a better beginning!
